Big Sur Travel Diary
I just got back from a fabulous girls trip to Big Sur organized by Taylor Madison of The Simple Sol and photographed by Averie Claire Woodard. We stayed at the incredible Ventana Resort in their Glamping tents. The tents, nestled in the famous Redwoods, were amazing (p.s. you will have access to all the hotel’s amenities like the spa, restaurants, pools, and hiking trails). When we weren’t sipping on frozé at the pool, my gal pal, Heidi and I ventured out for food and wine. We loved Nepenthe, a famous eatery on the cliff’s edge with breathtaking views of the ocean. We also ventured out to a local’s favorite, the Big Sur Bakery, and dined on thin crust pizza and delicious salads.
Big Sur is an magical place, and I highly recommend visiting the Bixby Bridge while cruising down the highway. I should also mention the Esalen Hot Springs, as all the ladies went there at midnight for a soak in their sulfur springs. I opted out of that activity due to a fear of hot water with naked strangers. :)
Thank you Taylor for arranging a wonder trip with inspiring and charismatic women! I wish we could all be back in Big Sur right now! I should also start watching Big Little Lies…
