Since Hotelette austin is basically in my backyard, I have the opportunity to visit and update the space all the time. that said, I haven't made many changes to it since it first opened in fall of 2017. i also haven't been able to make too many changes, since it's been booked solid since then, too!

that said, i love the low beds in the house, both the platform bed and spindle leg bed just beg to be plopped onto. i tried to make everything in hotelette austin just as comfy as these beds, so i slung these dyed shag trhows over the coolest metal chairs

I don't know what it is about metal chairs, but i think they exude the totally retro vibe that's essential to austin. hence the platner chairs, which i'm always scouring for on chairish and in vintage shops around town.

speaking of vintage, i loved pairing vintage rugs (like this one!) with modern-feeling textiles, like this velvet throw pillow and this geometric pillow from stone textile. Obviously the seating in hotelette austin - like this couch and daybed - are covered with both!
