An Update on The Swiss Miss
The Swiss Miss is almost here and we cannot wait to meet her! In the meantime, we thought we’d give you an update… From an impromptu maternity shoot in Marfa, Texas with Marshall Cox of Secretary Studio to many lunches of chicken fingers with Kenz and Whit, to a Cinco de Mayo themed baby shower, here are the highlights…
CONSTANT CRAVINGS: Cuties, carbs and expensive electrolyte water. The Swiss Mister likes to make fun of me for that!
GO-TO UNIFORM: Vintage men’s Levis, vintage boiler suits and the only two pairs of shoes I can wear: Birkenstocks and vintage cowboy boots Taylor of Sol Society generously donated to my sore feet.
Design Theme for the nursery: There’s not much of a theme yet! I’ve actually never felt so much pressure on a design project! So far, we have a vintage Moroccan rug, two Norman Rockwell lithographs, A FIERCE CHANGING PAD, a $40 dress from Salvation Army, a stuffed giraffe from Serena and Lilly, the Snoo, and painted walls (“Pop” by Clare Paint). Planning to add black and white photographs, STORAGE, a book rack, glider and lighting! (see below for our current buys!)
HIGHLIGHT OF PREGNANCY: Ripping my pants on my way to London over Easter weekend! Luckily, I found a cute jumpsuit to wear for the rest of the trip!
MOST CHALLENGING PART OF PREGNANCY: Trying to explain the concept of a “push present” to a European husband…
