GET THE LOOK: From Basic to Bold

Meet allison’s sad powder room: perfectly SERVICEABLE, but in desperate need of personality. In short, it was totally out of character for a designer who gravitates towards bold prints and pink lights. Thankfully, with her pregnancy came the urge to nest (shoutout to baby lia james, the real mvp) and said sad powder room went from very basic to very bold.

With a baby on the way, allison wanted this to be as turn-key of an update as possible. combine that with her penchant for wallpaper, a remodel centered around austin-based designer Taylor murphy’s wallpaper was the key. Enter “palma,” a playful graphic wallpaper (p.s. the wallpaper comes in three COLOR-WAYS). Add new lighting, switch out the mirror and style with artwork + flowers and you’ve got yourself a conversation-starter of a powder room. bonus points if you splurge on luxe hand-soap, turkish towels and hotelette room spray.
